Telling the Truth/Fake People

There seems to be a disturbing trend of, from what I see, of American black guys that come to Japan and lie about what they do/have done in order to get girls and anything else that is not nailed to the floor. Being an American black guy myself, and living in Japan I feel that this should be addressed because not only are these guys effecting the way that Japanese people see African-Americans but they are also impacting the way that other people view African-Americans.

I can understand not telling the truth because you would like some privacy or something like that, i.e. celebrities or people of that caliber, or just regular people but to lie to get some girl to sleep with you because you think telling her that you teach English or something like that might prevent her from going back to your house and taking her pants off. I MEAN BE REAL!!!!! Since when did it become so important to sacrifice your own integrity along with the integrity of an entire people for a piece of pussy.

And the lies are what kill me. I'm a rapper. I'm a basketball player. I'm a dancer. I own a company. I own this club. .........................so on and so forth. I mean really...............WORD....................is that what you really do? Would they be doing this if they lived back in America? The answer is NO because people wouldn't believe them. It's a shame that people are not proud of themselves enough to just let life be what it is for them. If life is not as exciting as you want it to be, then go out and make it exciting. Japan is a small country and the amount of American black people that’s here is less than one percent of the population. It’s a good chance that if you don't know someone personally, then you know someone who knows someone. So lying to some one means that someone knows the truth. It really makes no sense to lie. Especially because most of the Japanese girls that mess with black guys talk to their friends or after they finish with you they talk to the next guy about you. It makes you, as the lair, look bad and it make us as a people look bad.

That being said, to each his/her own. The reason I am making this comment on my blog is because it is a problem that affects me. I am sick of the stereotypes that have become the norm when black Americans are being described. Adding liar to the list is unacceptable. Somehow those stereotypes have become cool and is it cooler to perpetrate as one of these things than to try to change the game? I guess so according to the examples out here. One of my friends told me that when guys get here they become drunk off pussy which means that they will do what ever they can.......Lie, Cheat, Steal..........all for the means to obtain the rights to split a woman's legs. Don't get me wrong, I love sex. I love it by the pound, but not enough to sacrifice my integrity to get it. If a woman isn't feeling me or my job, or anything that has to do with me then she just isn’t into me. I am not going to lie to put myself in a better position to sleep with her.

This is just making us look bad as American black people. We need to step our game up and be honest about who we are, to ourselves first of all and then to the people around us!!! Yeah...............I'm looking at you!

Sir. Black men, white men and yes even Japanese men do that everywhere all the time, all ages. Black men are not above or below that reality. You don't have to prove to the Japanese people anything. The conclusions they have about black people are probably more media related than anything any individual does. Yes, black men are seen as studs and highly sexual by the world, but black men think that about themselves, too. Just be well, do good and be yourself

Agreed. Almost every group out here does the same thing. Sad, but true.
